Platinum Collection(2006/Compilation)
ロンドンレコードからリリースのコンピレーションアルバム。トラック1.から5.が「People」、8.から11,13が「Home」、14ー16が「Songs」、「Born」からは無し。と初期に偏りが見られるがオリジナルアルバム未収録だった6.7.12.（初期シングル収録）が入っている点は評価できよう。

US/Canada will be October 4th. It will be exclusively available
before this date at Liam's US solo shows. The record packaging is Liam’s own art and words, primarily in his hand and it really has an organic feel and vibe. 'rian', meaning 'mark' or 'imprint' in Irish, is a very personal record and it is reflected in the design. Above is a exclusive glimpse of the front cover.
There are no current release dates for other parts of the world. If you live outside North America you will be able to buy it through www.amazon.com and Hothouse Flowers Official EShop after October 4th which is now close to opening!

2002年にHHFがヘッドライナーを務めたヘヴリディーンケルティックフェスティヴァル。今年で開催１０回を迎え、記念CDがリリースされました（フェスのライブ録音集ではなく、過去の出演アーティストの既発表コンピレーションです）。HHFの’Don't

KiLA are releasing on the web only, a 4 track single this week. It is a collaboration with very cool Japanese musician Hiroshi Yamaguchi and includes a very funky reworking of Kila song An Tiomana with Hiroshi on electric guitar, a chill out mix of the song by Hiroshi's bandmate Sakana (this re mix is being used by Japanese Post Office for their new TV ad campaign!!! ) and Hiroshi's band Heatwave track Ame No Ato Michi Wa Kagayaku (meaning After the Rain the Road will Shine) and a gorgeous tune by Rossa called Chun na Farraige Sios. The single was brainwave of Colm from KiLA and Hiroshi whom KiLA have jammed with on their recent tours to Japan and will mark the start of a series of single projects with different musicians Kila have met over the years.

Hothouse Flowers Singer Takes Flight on First-Ever Solo Tour
Liam O Maonlai, the charismatic singer/pianist for Irish band Hothouse Flowers, will begin his first-ever solo tour of the United States this fall. While Liam has made individual solo appearances over the years, this will be the first time an actual multiple-city tour has been undertaken. 3graces media is more than pleased to be a partner with Liam in this adventure, in a continuation of our relationship with this exceptional artist.
The tour is currently being booked, and is scheduled to begin in mid-September with an ‘East Wing’ leg encompassing about 18 dates on the East Coast and in the Midwest, with selected dates in the South/Southeast. The ‘West Wing’ leg will begin in mid-November on the West Coast, with a possible 3rd section through the West/Southwest in early 2006. Booking is just beginning for the West Coast dates.
While this tour is being developed as a separate entity, Liam’s solo record ‘Rian’ is expected to be out in the States this fall as well, after an anticipated summer Irish release. Both record and tour will focus on the more traditional Irish side of Liam’s musical persona, as most of the venues being booked are intimate listening rooms, from world-famous folk clubs to a house concert here and there. In addition, a few children’s performances are being planned as part of this unique mix.

The ‘West Wing’ leg will begin in mid-November on the West Coast, with a possible 3rd section through the West/Southwest in early 2006. Booking is just beginning for the West Coast dates.
While this tour is being developed as a separate entity, Liam’s solo record ‘Rian’ is expected to be out in the States this fall as well, after an anticipated summer Irish release. Both record and tour will focus on the more traditional Irish side of Liam’s musical persona, as most of the venues being booked are intimate listening rooms, from world-famous folk clubs to a house concert here and there. In addition, a few children’s performances are being planned as part of this unique mix.
リアム・オ・メンリィ初のソロUSツアーがこの秋、慣行されます。主催はHHFのドキュメンタリー映画やライブDVDも制作した3graces media社。９月半ばにスタートする 'East Wing' レグは東海岸／中西部と南部、南東部で１８公演。続いて１１月半ばからは西海岸を回る 'West Wing' レグ、そして西部／南西部の第３レグは2006年早々に予定されています。リアムの初ソロアルバム「Rian」は夏頃にアイルランドでリリース、ツアーに合わせてUSでも発売
予定です。アルバムもツアーもリアムの「アイリッシュ・トラディショナル」な一面を見せてくれるものになります。会場となるのは有名なフォーククラブからハウスコンサートまで様々。子供達が参加出演するプランもあります。
というわけで、リアム初のソロUSツアーです。思い出しますなー、99年のソロジャパンツアー。レグの合間に日本に来てくれませんかねー。

Kíla record with Japanese Pop Star Yaiko

female singer flew over to Ireland to record a track with Kíla for her
upcoming album. The recording session took place in Grouse lodge and Hiroshi was
at the helm as producer. It was he who introduced us to her while we toured
together in Japan last year. She has previously recorded some songs with Liam O
Flynn, Peter O Toole and Sharon
Shannon.

初めて名を聞くバンドですが、上のリンクページによると８６年ダブリンで結成、ロンドンを拠点に活動、９４年に解散。一部メンバーはDog's Eye ViewとしてUSでトップ１０ヒットを出したとあります。この度、ベスト盤をリリースすることになり、１１年ぶりの再結成ライブをロンドンにて行い、リアムがそれをサポート。との事です。写真を見ると楽しそうなバンドですな。HHF英語メーリングリストでも「おー、Fat Lady Sings! 好きだったなー」って声が見受けられます。
